Dominik Held is a young winemaker from the rheinhessen region who started to explore natural and low-intervention wine in 2018. In the years since, he has converted 2.5 ha of his father's vineyards to organic farming and then produced his first wines in 2019. Dominik Is always looking for new ways to become more sustainable, for example he wants to reduce the use of copper, build up humus in the soil and take care of a healthy and balanced soil. He treats each grape variety and each grape with the greatest respect for its needs.
He wants to express his creativity, identity and taste with the wines he produces. And music also plays an important role. The song "White Ferrari" by Frank Ocean has repeatedly sounded through the speakers while making this delicious skin contact wine. On the bottle is a piece of text that reads : "Watch the clouds float, white Ferrari..." We have very nice vibes with this wine. It's a light orange wine – a blend of Huxelrebe, Müller-Thurgau, Scheurebe and Riesling and lots of love.
Semi-maceration carbonique and five days of skin contact on the Huxelrebe and Scheurebe, while the Müller-Thurgau and Riesling were whole bunch pressed. Aged on its full lees for 11 months in stainless steel tanks, bottled unfiltered and unfined – with just a minute hint of sulphites. Light and seductive, with only 10% alcohol, it’s fresh and crisp, with a ton of yellow and green fruit, plus wild flowers and herbs.
